Saturday 31st January (10am - 5pm) & Sunday 1st February 2026 (9am - 1pm)
Reiki II is taught over two days, this course is in-person at The Honeybee Sanctuary in central North Berwick.
The pre-requisite for this course is the completion of Reiki Level 1 (which can be with any teacher) and at least 21 days of self-treatment and reflection before beginning Reiki Level II. It is likely that more time would be beneficial to allow the teachings of Reiki 1 to establish and integrate.
Reiki Level II (Okuden) expands on the foundational teachings of Shoden, and introduces new techniques to provide a deeper understanding and connection with the teachings for self-development and self-awareness.
I teach the traditional, foundational system of Usui Reiki Ryōhō… and I'll weave in a little bit of herbalism, as is my way.

This is the next level of your Reiki training, teaching methods to deepen your connection, learn distance healing, and expand your ability to support others. It is a course for those who would like to go even further:
This training prepares you to become a Reiki therapist;
Enables you to add Reiki to your existing practice/s; or maybe
You would like to expand your self-healing journey beyond place and time.
Okuden is a Japanese word meaning "inner teachings." This course provides a deeper understanding and connection to the teachings of Usui Mikao. Using traditional Japanese principles, you will learn how to connect with Earth and Heaven energies, expanding your integration with the universe. Deeper connection is developed through the practice of symbols and mantras.
-
Reiki is a simple and accessible practice, anyone can do it. The reason for the levels (I, II and III) is to allow time for integration, personalisation and individuation in your practice; Reiki is more than a healing modality, it is a spiritual journey which unfolds as and when you are ready. All traditional philosophical journeys take this approach - increasing power and connection when the strong foundations are in place.
During the course, you will learn:
Review of the structure of the Usui Reiki System;
Reiki II Symbols and their meaning;
Mantras, and chanting the symbols;
Meditation using the symbols;
Reiki II attunement;
Distant Healing;
Discussion, guidance and insights into becoming a Reiki Practitioner;
How to structure a Reiki treatment, including contraindications and the Law;
Detailed training manual provided.
Please note: Award of Reiki II Certification requires the completion of case studies after the training. This is a valuable and wonderful part of the Reiki II journey, and usually takes 2-4 months.
After the training days, I will support you with:
Access to an online Reiki Resources section of the website, with recorded Reiki meditations and tutorials,
Keep in touch with questions, I offer continued email support and chat,
You are welcomed to Reiki Shares, a great way to broaden your case studies,
I’ll send you updates and inspiration via a monthly email newsletter, and
You can join a hosted chat group community.
I’m here to help you grow with your practice—every step of the way.

You will be learning in a small group of up to 6 people with me, Liz Thomas, a Reiki III (Shinpiden, or ‘Master’ level practitioner). Please feel welcome to contact me with any questions: liz@thehoneybeesanctuary.org
