Come to the sanctuary for…

I host workshops here at The Honeybee Sanctuary, in a 5m Star Tent in our garden. Children learn about useful plants throughout the seasons - connecting young people with nature is a life-long passion.

I run workshops in the holidays and a weekly Kids’ Herbalism Club through the school year. These are all bookable via the online shop.

Kids’ Herbalism workshops

I plan and deliver workshops for Home Educators, networks and groups, and I would be delighted to host your group if you’re looking for something a bit different for your home educated children. Please contact me to make arrangements for dates and seasonal themes to explore. Prices typically £15/pp for a 1.5 hour workshop with remedies to take home and printed notes.

Herbal Home-Ed

Join me in the apothecary kitchen: I host workshops inspired by the seasons where we make herbal remedies, learn about the plant’s properties, and how to safely identify, prepare and use medicinal herbs. Dates are listed on the online shop.

If you have a group of friends who’d be interested in a bespoke workshop for a celebration or to spend some time together doing something a bit different, I can work with you to plan content to your interests.

Please do contact me liz@thehoneybeesanctuary.org to discuss your ideas.

Reiki

Reiki is a system and philosophy of energy healing to support self-healing of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body.

I offer hour-long Reiki appointments at the Honeybee Sanctuary. You can buy and book a session via the Appointment Booking page.

Reiki - natural energy healing

If you can’t get to The Honeybee Sanctuary in person, or your situation means you’d rather the privacy and flexibility of a remote treatment, I offer an option for distance Reiki. I’m happy to have a chat to see how we can work together to seek to balance mind, body, emotions and spirit.

Honey/bees

When there has been a good flow and a surplus which I can responsibly and gently receive from the bees, I sell honey online only. I take one harvest a year, usually in mid- to late summer. Honey is then available for sale from late summer onwards with stocks varying year on year.

The honey is a gift when the bees produce a surplus to their needs. I strongly advocate for the careful and conscious use of honey as a valuable medicine.

It has been said that the honeybees are Nature’s finest herbalists: they gather the ‘goodness’ from such a range of plants within a locality. When we consume honey, we benefit from the phytochemicals of all the flowering plants they have visited.

The healing garden

Over the 5 years we’ve been nurturing our garden, we’ve excavated 21sqm of tarmac, planted wildflowers and a native woodland copse, removed invasive non-natives, maintained hedgerows for biodiversity, created 3 ponds, and planted 14 fruiting trees. We’ve layered in plant species for all the seasons, celebrating local providence and bio-diversity. We think it gets better every year; this place now thrums with wildlife and a therapeutic energy.

For medicine, peace, connection, meditation and healing.

It is my sanctuary, and it is also a place for you to find inspiration and healing.
