Late summer plant walk at Yellowcraig
Join me in celebration of this glorious summer!
Wednesday 27th August, 7 - 8:30pm, Yellowcraig.
Come with me and take a moment to share in thanksgiving for the medicinal plants. Whether or not you gathered, grew or got to know any plants this summer, it’s joyful to notice and appreciate the goodness and healing gifts of nature. I hope you can join me to give thanks and make a last-of-the-summer herbal tea blend and healing remedy.
This will be a walk & in-the-field workshop, exploring the plants which are still so vibrant and generous in their healing gifts. We’ll make and taste herbal remedies using some of the season's healing plants.
There won’t be handout notes at this walk, we’ll focus instead on using our senses of perception and appreciation to get to know a few of the season’s wild-plants.
You can expect a warm welcome; this is an open event and I find the people who come join me are nature-loving friendly souls who love a good herbal chat! Bring your questions, we have the plants and nature as our teacher.
Accessibility: Please note, we will be walking a short sections of the John Muir Way, which is not wheelchair accessible. Our route will include short detours into woodland areas. We will walk at a very gentle pace, stopping often, and the total route of the walk is approximately 1.5km. If you would like more information about the route or facilities at Yellowcraig woodland / dunes, please do email me: liz@thehoneybeesanctuary.org
