The Honeybee Sanctuary

Workshop Waiver Agreement & Cancellation Policy

Thank you so much for choosing The Honeybee Sanctuary. We hope you / your child/ren will enjoy learning about the wonderful world of honey and herbs. We ask you to review and sign the form below, entering your name to show agreement to the policy and consent waiver, either for yourself or on behalf of your child.

Waiver agreement:

  • Liz will be the only adult leading this workshop. She holds a PVG certificate for working with children. Please get in touch with Liz (liz@thehoneybeesanctuary.org) if you have any concerns regarding Child Protection and Safeguarding.

  • Parents or guardians are welcome to stay during the workshop, or to leave, at your discretion.

  • There is no specific guidance about supervision ratios for organisations that are not in the education or early years sectors so we’ve used the NSPCC Learning’s best practice guidance to work out how many adults are needed to supervise children safely: Children 4 - 8 years recommended one adult to six children, 9 – 12 years the recommendation is for one adult to eight children. This guidance is adhered to in the planning and delivery of each workshop.

  • Liz is the emergency contact, available throughout the running time of the workshop on 07814662328.

  • It is your responsibility to inform Liz of any medical condition/s which may be relevant to you / your child/ren’s safe participation or general health and safety during the workshop. Please inform Liz in advance of any medication the participant is taking and any medical conditions. This information will not be held digitally, however may be kept at your request for future workshops or Honeybee Sanctuary events.

  • You will be asked to leave a mobile number for emergency contact during the workshop. This information will not be held digitally.

  • The workshop is provided as a Community Herbalism activity, and the advice and information provided is based on traditional, commonly accepted and well-established herbal information. It is for education purposes only and not intended as medical advice. The workshop is intended to inspire and educate, and by purchasing this workshop you confirm you / your child/ren are attending on this basis.

  • A setting and activities risk assessment is available to review upon request, and a copy will available throughout the workshop.

Cancellation Policy:

Please note that once you have booked a place it is reserved for you. If you cancel your place less than 48 hours before the workshop is scheduled to take place, you will be charged the full amount of the session and a refund will not be possible. To enable another participant to book, it is appreciated if you provide cancellation notice at least 48 hours prior to the workshop start time via email at liz@thehoneybeesanctuary.org.
