Reiki: a system of
energy healing
That blue-sky feeling:
When the sun shines bright and no clouds block its rays.
That’s what Reiki can feel like. Peeling away the layers which block your light from shining bright.
Reiki is a system of self-healing. It promotes energy flow at all levels from the cellular to the electromagnetic field of your being.
You are a source and energy flows through you.
That’s why I love this photo of my son. He makes me think of that uncomplicated connection with life energy which children often have without the layers many of us grown-ups have accumulated. Worries, fears, anger, lack of a sense of purpose, anxiety, stress, burdens, and physical health issues all lower the vibration of our original life energy.
Life can be hard work, and energy can become unbalanced or blocked. The system of Reiki teaches a philosophy, techniques, and a way of life which reconnects and rebalances.
I would love to be part of your self-healing journey.

I practice amplifying my connection with life energy every day, through
Meditation,
Self-healing (hands-on),
Following the 5 precepts as a Way of life,
Mantra, and
Receiving attunements at the various Reiki levels I’ve studied.
I have trained to Reiki level III, Shinpiden, which is the Master Level in Usui Reiki Riyoho (traditional Japanese system of natural energy healing called Reiki)
When you come to me for Reiki, I am looking to get the energy flowing and raise your vibration, while at the same time promoting deep relaxation through by accessing the parasympathetic nervous system.
I am there to connect with your energy and let the flow support your body’s own self-healing process which it can do when it relaxes. Energy knows where it needs to go and what to do!
Reiki is a fantastic complementary therapy for people undergoing cancer treatment as it can help reduce anxiety and support restfulness.
I have ADHD, and I find Reiki a wonderful tool to be in the present moment and rest my busy mind. It can benefit an overwhelmed mindset by giving insights and perspective to use as mantra or guidance, strategies for everyday life.
It works on emotional stress and trauma to help release and process stored emotion in the body.
A Reiki session can support mental health and wellbeing, and connection with your original life energy source can bring clarity on a sense of purpose.
Sometimes one session is all you need to start a process of self-healing, sometimes a series of 3 is useful as each session peels back a different layer if there is chronic or acute stress or imbalance.
Perhaps there are years-worth of complexities which have accumulated, so several shorter sessions result in a deeper and long-term healing process.

What does Reiki feel like?
I get asked this quite often, and simply there is no straight forward answer! Reiki gives us, or reveals to us, or feeds back to us, just what we need.
No more, no less.
It is important to say that not everyone feels distinct sensations during Reiki. Energy is subtle, and sometimes things are happening on deeper levels that may not necessary manifest as an noticeable external reaction.
Perhaps a few days or weeks later you may feel calmer or less reactive to something that really bothered you before. Or you notice a general improvement in your overall well-being and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Trust the Reiki energy to do what is needed.
Here are some clients’ descriptions of experiences of Reiki, to give you an idea:
Sensations of warmth or heat are frequently reported during Reiki sessions. This warmth is often felt in the areas being treated or in the hands of the practitioner, and it's associated with the flow of energy.
Sensations of energy pulsing or flowing through the body are also described. It might feel like waves of energy moving through different areas. Some individuals describe feeling tingling sensations, like gentle vibrations, as Reiki is in flow.
One of the most common reactions to Reiki is a deep sense of relaxation and calm, similar to a deep state of meditation.
A feeling of lightness or expansion is also often reported. This might involve a sensation of energy spreading out beyond the physical body, like the edges of the physical body become one - or melt into - the space around you.
During a session, people may experience emotional releases such as tears, laughter, or feelings of profound peace and contentment.
Reiki can quieten the chatter of the mind, bringing a sense of clarity and inner peace.
Some people describe seeing images, colours, or visualisations. This can range from seeing bright lights or specific colours to intricate patterns and imagery.
