A talk and workshop - Night in with Nettle.

An invitation to join me, a local herbalist and Kate Millbank (printmaker) to an evening all about nettle at the inspiring and cosy setting of Night Owl Books in East Linton.

Enjoy listening to a talk about ‘A Year in Herbs’ journal, followed by an opportunity to explore the wonders of ‘Nettle’ by making 2 herbal remedies to take home with you.

  • Thursday 24th April

  • 8 - 9pm

Kate and I are excited to talk about the story behind ‘A Year in Herbs’, a collaboratively created journal which introduces you to one herb each month through a collection of recipes, remedies & reflections.

Each herb is a useful plant which can be used to support natural health and wellbeing, and we would love to share more about how they were selected, our process and the inspiration behind this project.

The journal, this talk, and the hands-on workshop all hope to encourage a deeper connection with your local natural environment.

“Kate and I are delighted to share with you our love of being outside, walking along the beautiful East Lothian coast, through the woods and along the hedgerows, spotting different plants, seaweeds and herbs. Experiencing nature in this way allows us to notice the seasons change and shift as the year moves through its cycle. We hope you enjoy the fun linocut illustrations and the recipes, remedies and reflections as you get to know each herb over the next 12 months.”
