Rosemary drops
Rosemary is a wonderful brain-fog tonic… These drops are a really easy way to benefit from Rosemary’s affinity to support cognitive function.
In a 60ml dropper bottle, my homemade Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis) tincture is a herbal go-to for supporting cognitive function, and the easiest way to benefit daily from the valuable vitamins, minerals and volatile oils.
It is a concentrated preparation of Rosemary leaves extracted in alcohol (Brandy, the herbalist’s traditional choice!). The Rosemary is macerated in alcohol for one month allowing the alcohol solvent to extract its active substances. A few drops of tincture contains a full spectrum of the plant’s constituents, with long shelf life of up to 4 years.
Rosemary is now well recognised as a wonderful support herb to peri- or menopausal women experiencing the symptoms of brain fog. Recent studies show that Rosemary inhibits the breakdown of acetylcholine, which is a compound that plays a role in the brain responsible for memory and reasoning. Rosemary may also promote memory function by increasing blood flow to the brain.
Rosemary also works as an antioxidant by protecting healthy cells and preventing their damage. It contains antioxidants carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid that are highly effective in combating oxidative stress.
I use fresh, organically grown Rosemary from my herb garden. Rosemary is resinous and doesn’t contain too much moisture so it doesn’t spoil the tincture; the volatile oils are strongest when used fresh. Making small batches allows me the control to make fresh, local remedies.
How to use Rosemary drops
The most beneficial way of using this homemade tincture is to take it internally. Take the drops directly under the tongue which allows the tincture to get directly to the bloodstream. If it is more convenient for you, you can also dilute it in water, tea, or juice.
Rosemary tincture dosage
The recommended dosage is 10-20 drops, 3x times daily. The research suggests a dose of 60 drops daily offers demonstrable beneficial results.

The notes on the use of this tincture is based on traditional, commonly accepted and well-established herbal information. It is for education purposes only and not intended as medical advice and I advise you to do your own research to see what is best for you. The herbal remedies are made by me in my home and garden, and by purchasing a Honeybee Sanctuary product you confirm you are aware of this basis. I believe these remedies to be all the more potent and healing because they are small batch, local and seasonally crafted.
