Hawthorn drops
Hawthorn is the herb I use every single day. It is a tonic remedy for the heart - both the emotional and the physical heart.
Hawthorn is fantastic to support the physical heart, it is a traditional remedy to support a weak heart or coronary arteries, and optimises whole-body circulation. It is also restorative to the emotional heart, and smoothes the rollercoaster of emotional disregulation often experienced by people living with symptoms of AD(H)D - overwhelm, anxiety, worry. It nourishes the central nervous system as well as the circulatory system.
These drops are a really easy way to benefit from Hawthorn’s healing and supportive medicine in your day-to-day life.
Available in a 60ml dropper bottle, my homemade Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) tincture made with lots of love and healing intention. I tincture the flowers and leaf tips in the Spring for one month, then strain that tincture and store until the autumn when I macerate the Hawthorn berries in the same tincture.
Made this way, a few drops of tincture contains a full spectrum of Hawthorn’s medicine, with long shelf life of up to 4 years.
I use foraged Hawthorn from hedgerows in East Lothian, well away from the beaten track where I know there is no risk of air, water or soil pollution. Making small batches allows me the control to make fresh, local remedies.
How to use Hawthorn drops
The most beneficial way of using this homemade tincture is to take it internally. Take the drops directly under the tongue which allows the tincture to get directly to the bloodstream. If it is more convenient for you, you can also dilute it in water, tea, or juice.
Hawthorn tincture dosage
The recommended dosage is 10 drops, 3x times daily.
Please do your own research if you have a known heart condition. Take professional medical advice if you take any heart medication.
Hawthorn is safe and effective for use in children, at a half-dose.

The notes on the use of this tincture is based on traditional, commonly accepted and well-established herbal information. It is for education purposes only and not intended as medical advice and I advise you to do your own research to see what is best for you. The herbal remedies are made by me in my home and garden, and by purchasing a Honeybee Sanctuary product you confirm you are aware of this basis. I believe these remedies to be all the more potent and healing because they are small batch, local and seasonally crafted.
